A2 Fairs Clearing Events – August 26-28, 2008
Ankara / August 26; Istanbul / August 28
Why attend August Clearing Events
Due to YOK’s (Council of Higher Education) decision to no longer require that Turkish students take the National University Placement Examination in order to receive recognition for degrees earned in selected countries, students who have decided to study abroad will be applying to universities earlier this year. We believe our April fair will have many students who will be registering early. However, those who decide to take the national exam will not receive their exam results until August. Our Clearing Events dates are specifically chosen to take capitalize on those students who will be looking for alternatives abroad after having learned their placement results. Our aim is to have one day in Istanbul and one day in Ankara to offer these students study abroad options.
Advantages to the Institutions
We expect August Clearing to be an event where direct enrollments take place for September or January. We also believe that this date will be perfect for those institutions that have attended our events and registered Turkish students to hold their orientation events or alumni meetings in Turkey. We will do all we can to assist any institution that would like to organize such activities along side, before or after the Clearing dates in Istanbul and Ankara.
Important note: Our August Clearing event is solely for institutions that have participated or will participate in any one of the a2 2008 Fairs in Turkey. It will be limited to a small number of institutions only.
